The Unraveling is a purely fictional, absurd, exaggerated and disconnected piece of work. It is not a story but rather a philosophical exploration about the contradicting darker and lighter aura of humanity. It is about the complete discovering of a little girl’s faith and the full unravelling of her soul.

It also contains some references to the Old Norse religion, mainly Odin, the All-father and Vidar, the Silent God. My faith is in paganism, and I firmly believe that humans, animals, trees, and plants are all a collective part of nature and that nature is the most sacred thing on this earth.

It is in no way significant for your faith or religion to be the same, this play is just a complex observation of life, an exploration of a girl’s identity and of vanquishing her inner demons through a journey in the woods, and through a lens of nature – forests, oceans, talking animals and the vast skies.

Trigger Warning: The play contains themes of self harm.
